The Woman Behind the Polish Name - Ruth
If you’ve been a K. Ferrara Color customer for a while you may have noticed that all of our polishes are named after women. Every K. Ferrara Color polish is actually named after a woman in my own life. Today I am so excited to share with you the woman that inspired me to create our polish Ruth.
It was 1942 and my grandmother Ruth had two little girls at a very young age that she took care of by herself until she remarried later in life. I was only three when she passed, but I have a very vivid memories of her. I remember her holding me, playing with me, her beautiful smile, rocking me, and her kindness and generosity. She was so brave, always happy, and loved to dance! One of her favorite songs to dance to was Mac the Knife!
I keep this photo of the two of us on my night table. Everyone says I look just like her. I love knowing that I come from women who are strong and brave and are willing to make good decisions for themselves and their family. I carry her with me in my heart and I know that she is always looking out for me and helping to guide me. She is a true inspiration to me.
